48 Hours in Miami: A Luxurious Getaway at the Epic Hotel

Are you looking for a quick escape to a sunny and vibrant city? Miami might be the perfect destination for you! I recently spent 48 hours in this beautiful city, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the stunning views of the ocean to the delicious food and exciting nightlife, Miami has it all.

Accommodation

During my stay in Miami, I stayed at the EPIC Hotel in Downtown Miami. This luxurious hotel offers breathtaking views of the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay. The hotel also features a spa, a rooftop pool, a gym, and multiple dining options. The hotel’s location is convenient, within walking distance of many popular attractions and restaurants. Consider booking your next stay at EPIC.

Food

Miami is known for its diverse culinary scene, and I enjoyed trying some of the best restaurants during my stay. On the first night, I had dinner at Area31, a rooftop restaurant inside the EPIC Hotel, while enjoying the breathtaking views of the city. I ordered the lamp chops with roasted lemon potatoes, eggplant, and chermoula. I also visited the Dior Cafe, where I enjoyed a delicious latte and admired the stunning Dior iconic Toile de Jouy print. I also visited Sofia, an Italian restaurant in the heart of the Design District. I had one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever tasted, the spaghetti pomodoro paired with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The Sauvignon Blanc was exceptional and fruity, with hints of passion fruit. I dined at Gianni’s at the former Versace Mansion on my last night. I could not get a reservation inside the formal dining room, but I had light bites at the bar.

Activities

Aside from eating, I worked out at the hotel gym and explored Miami.

I also explored the Design District, known for its high-end fashion boutiques and art galleries. Speaking of art galleries, I viewed Nate Dee’s exhibit in the hotel, just outside the pool. This was exciting since the hotel launched the first show of EPIC’s Artist in Residency program that weekend. Partnering with local artists to showcase their work, Nate Dee, a Haitian American artist, is the first artist to have a two-month residency at the hotel. He describes his art as “[A] masked series [which] examines the use of animals and zoomorphic iconography from various cultures. For many past and contemporary societies, animals have various connotations, whether religious, spiritual, or their images have been used to embody certain personality traits. The wearer embodies these traits while donning these metaphysical masks as expressions of internal power.” Check out more of his work here and connect with him on Instagram.

I also took advantage of the sunny weather and visited the rooftop pool at the EPIC Hotel, where I relaxed and enjoyed the stunning views of the city.

Fashion

During my visit, I wore a stylish two-piece linen set from Zara, perfect for the warm and sunny weather. On my last day, I wore a beautiful short white dress to dinner at the Versace Mansion, which was the perfect choice for the elegant and luxurious atmosphere. I also wore a simple black matching bathing suit with a striped set while enjoying a few hours at the pool. Finally, for my trip back home, I wore a comfortable matching sweat set that kept me cozy and stylish.

Conclusion

In conclusion, my 48 hours in Miami were nothing short of amazing. From the luxurious accommodations to the delicious food, exciting activities, and stylish fashion choices, Miami has something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a fun-filled weekend with friends, Miami is a destination worth considering. Book your trip to Miami and stay at the EPIC Hotel.
