Something about a new year approaching makes me want to change things up. I’ve been slowly redecorating my space, and I decided to start with the living room.
Picking a Style
After countless hours on Pinterest, I finally settled upon something sleek, sophisticated, and yet simple. So, I decided to go with a modern contemporary style but with many black accents.
Before making changes, I decided to create a board of the colors and styles I wanted to incorporate into my space. I find getting these ideas down makes it easier to visualize and find items that will fit with the theme.
How I Incorporated Black Accents
I started by painting the coffee table from gold to black. When redecorating, I like to find ways to save a little by repurposing things I already have and DIYing things. I also decided to mount the TV to allow more space to decorate the console and add more black accents since the TV console is all white. I added the Tom Ford coffee table book, candle holders, a few chain links from Amazon, and a few vases.
Picking the Prints
Desenio has a wide variety of options to choose from when it comes to prints. They have a style for everyone and what I like about Desenio is that when you pick a print it gives you the option to select the frames.
I knew I wanted a pair of abstract prints, something minimal and chic. I the Abstract Wave No. 1 and No. 2. 70x100cm with the black frames.
If you’re looking for prints and frames, I recommend Desenio. Use the code 10SYNDIE to receive 10% off prints only (excluding personalized/handpicked prints).
Thanks for stopping by, as always live happily, healthily, and beautifully! — Syndie
